The Heythrop Journal was founded in 1960 by Dr. Bruno Brinkman, and his aims were to encourage the College's teachers to share their considerable scholarship with a wider community, and to provide a forum for ecumenical and international dialogue among Christian philosophers and theologians. He was the first editor of the Journal, from 1960 to 1970; subsequent editors were Robert Murray, Joe Minitiz, Tom Deidun.
